Become a PACTs member and make use of our local space for your own creative practice. Many individual artists have a home at Desperate Studios, collaborating with its resident companies to share resources.
Whether you are regularly running classes, have ongoing need for creation or practice space, or just need a small area to store some props or do some admin. Our small and supportive network of creatives could be home to you too!

Desperate Studios is a space, not an entity, and is home to several resident companies and individuals. Managed by its lead resident company, Tit for Tat, we bring together years of experience in the professional sector as practitioners, performers, producers, tutors, and curators of touring work – under one roof.
If you are looking for project support or guidance in the arts, or practitioners to collaborate with, you can contact our team or look through our resident companies to see if one looks like a good fit.

Desperate Studios is home to PACTs; a collective of creative practitioners working across live performance, street arts, circus, clowning, physical theatre, dance, and outdoor events.
We offer a great creation space for the development or delivery of projects, classes, or workshops at affordable rates for artists. The space does not turn a profit, and aims to keep costs affordable for artists and community groups.
The space is managed by Tit for Tat and has existed for over 30 years under the previous management of the Desperate Men. It has enjoyed many creatives passing through it, curating work and launching cultural incentives. We hope it continues to support artistic work for 30 years more.
